Thomas A. Berman

Thomas Berman received his Doctor of Jurisprudence from Temple University School of Law where he graduated with honors in 1992. He was a member of the Editorial Board of the Environmental Law and Technology Journal. He received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Pennsylvania where he graduated with honors. He is admitted to practice law in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the State of New Jersey.

Mr. Berman concentrates his practice in workers’ compensation defense litigation. Prior to forming Berman Voss, Mr. Berman litigated workers’ compensation cases at Post & Schell, P.C. and Duane, Morris & Heckscher. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Jeff Fund, a non-profit organization for research in pediatric colitis.

Sandra L. Voss

Sandra Voss received her Doctor of Jurisprudence from Rutgers University School of Law where she graduated with honors in 1990. She was Research Editor of the Rutgers Law Journal. She received her Bachelor of Arts from Kean College of New Jersey. She is admitted to practice law in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the States of New Jersey and Florida.

Ms. Voss concentrates her practice in workers’ compensation defense litigation. Prior to forming Berman Voss, Ms. Voss litigated workers’ compensation cases at Duane, Morris & Heckscher, where she supervised and trained junior associates. Ms. Voss is a member of the Philadelphia Bar Association’s Workers’ Compensation section.

Ms. Voss is currently serving as a council member of the Workers’ Compensation Section of the Pennsylvania Bar Association.  She has also appeared as a legal expert on behalf of employers and insurers on The American Law Journal.

Howard J. Burk 

Howard Burk received his Doctor of Jurisprudence from University of Pittsburgh School of Law where he participated in Moot Court and graduated in 1984. He received his Bachelor of Arts from Lafayette College in 1981. Mr. Burk served as a law clerk to The Honorable Thomas J. Eshelman, Court of Common Pleas of Berks County.  He has handled a wide variety of cases, including matters involving occupational diseases and workplace deaths through the Pennsylvania Supreme Court level.  Mr. Burk has taught legal education classes on workers’ compensation topics for the Insurance Society of Philadelphia.  He is admitted to practice law in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

Mr. Burk concentrates his practice in workers’ compensation defense litigation. Prior to joining Berman Voss, Mr. Burk was a partner with a regional defense firm.  Mr. Burk is a member of the Philadelphia Bar Association, the Pennsylvania Bar Association, and the Philadelphia’s Workers’ Compensation Association.

Marshall A. Haislup III

Marshall A. Haislup III received his Doctor of Jurisprudence from Temple University School of Law in 1981. He received his Bachelor of Science from Slippery Rock University where he graduated with honors. He is admitted to practice law in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

Mr. Haislup concentrates his practice in workers’ compensation defense litigation. Prior to joining Berman Voss, Mr. Haislup was a partner and litigated workers’ compensation cases for three decades at a regional defense firm, where he also supervised and trained associates. Mr. Haislup is a member of the Philadelphia Bar Association and its Workers’ Compensation section as well as the Pennsylvania Bar Association and its Workers’ Compensation section. Mr. Haislup was named in ALM Publications as one of Philadelphia’s Top Rated Lawyers 2012 in the practice area of Workers’ Compensation.

Nataly Weisman

Ms. Weisman received her Doctor of Jurisprudence from Villanova University School of Law in 1992. She was a member of the Editorial Board of the Villanova Law Review. She received her Bachelor of Arts from Washington University. She is admitted to practice law in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

Ms. Weisman concentrates her practice in workers’ compensation defense litigation. Prior to joining Berman Voss, Ms. Weisman litigated workers’ compensation cases at Swartz, Campbell & Detweiller and The Law Offices of Wesley R. Payne (house counsel for Kemper Insurance).

Kirsten J. Siegfried

Ms. Siegfried received her Doctor of Jurisprudence from Widener University School of Law in 1999, where she was a member of the Women's Law Caucas, participated in Environmental Law Moot Court competitions, and was a Student Government Representative. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Rosemont College. She is admitted to practice law in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the State of New Jersey.

Ms. Siegfried concentrates her practice in workers’ compensation defense litigation. Prior to joining Berman Voss, Ms. Siegfried was employed with a regional defense firm, where she focused her practice on Workers' Compensation defense. Ms. Siegfried has also worked as In-House Counsel for an international insurance corporation, and served as a law clerk for a Commonwealth Court Judge in Chester County, Pennsylvania.

Ashley S. Talley

Ms. Talley received her Doctor of Jurisprudence from Widener University School of Law in 2012. While there, she participated in the Environmental Law Clinic, Moe Levine Trial Advocacy Honor Society, and  Moot Court Honor Society, where she competed in both inter and intrascholastic competitions. Ms. Talley graduated with honors from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 2009 and is admitted to practice law in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and State of New Jersey.

Ms. Talley concentrates her practice in workers’ compensation defense litigation. Prior to joining Berman Voss, she was employed at a regional defense firm where she focused her practice on insurance defense.
